As de Antonino Pio (IMPERATOR II / ANCILIA / SC)

Buenas,

Os pongo este as para identificar, se que esta muy pachuchilla, pero el reverso me tiene un poco perdido, así con que identificar el reverso ya me daría por contento.

Peso 6,3gr y Diametro mayo= 26mm

Antoninus Pius. AD 138-161. Æ As (26mm, 8.66 g). Rome mint. Struck circa AD 141-143. Laureate head right / Two ancilia –oval shields with rounded projections above and below. RIC III 736a; BMCRE 1629; Cohen 30. VF, green patina, some minor smoothing in fields.

The ancilia were the sacred shields of Mars and were associated with the Salii, a college of priests whose ceremonies signaled the beginning and ending of a military campaign season. Founded by Rome's second king, Numa Pompilius, the Salii were so-called because one aspect of their ritual involved leaping (salire). Beginning in March they would process throughout the city with the ancilia. At the end of the month, these shields would be cleansed and stored away. In October, the same ritual was performed to mark the end the season.

la verdad se parece, pero no esta pachucha, esta muy-muy chunga, jejeje, saludos.
